I am very happy to announce that I am going to give a workshop ‘Introduction to Cold Wax Medium’ in the Hangar, Opio on 4 Friday afternoons (2020)
This workshop will be for all levels and you will learn how to incorporate the Cold Wax Medium in your oil paints. We will experiment with numerous methods to add texture, unique mark marking and layering to your paintings. We will be using a variety of drawing materials like oil pastels and pigment sticks and fun tools including brayers, palette knives, scrapers and squeegees. We also discuss Color Theory and how to build up a painting, either abstract or figurative. I’ll show you all my favourite techniques and you will go home full of new ideas!
