How to paint flowers in cold wax and oils

Marina Teding van Berkhout
July 7, 2022

I am very excited to share my Free online lesson ‘Beautiful Blooms, abstract flower painting in cold wax and oils’ with you!

In this lesson I show you step by step how to paint these abstract flowers with Cold Wax Medium on a colourful background by using the cold wax and oil techniques and negative painting.

Every scene that you paint is made up of both a negative and a positive space. Positive space is the subject itself. Negative painting is when you paint around the subject and not the subject itself so you will not loose the beautiful textures you created.

You can find more info on the free online class by clicking the button below. If you are new to painting with cold wax medium, I am sure that you are going to love the process. I started with a tiny pot of cold wax, some oil paper and an old bowl scraper and have never looked back, it is highly addictive!
